Use the offset

$recentPosts = new WP_Query (
   array(
     'post_type'      => 'stiri',
     'post_status'    => 'publish',
     'posts_per_page' => 6, // all = -1
     'orderby'        => 'date',
     'order'          => 'DESC',
     'offset'         => 1
   )
);
