i'm trying to filter the code and currently met with some NullException error.. can anyone help me out?
I would like to get the code from a URL sources(XML Data) and filter it out using Spinner
Example: spinner : "Today","Tomorrow" Upon select "Today" it will show out the events for today. Upon select "Tomorrow" it will show out the events for tomorrow.
However, I meet with some Null Exception. Can anyone guide me?

// creating new HashMap

Element e = (Element) nl.item(i);
// adding each child node to HashMap key => value
map.put(KEY_TITLE, parser.getValue(e, KEY_TITLE));

String[] browseby;
Your array is not initialised (has length assigned to zero). You need to initialise it:
browseby = new String[<size>];
But especially in your case try to think about an usage of dynamic array instead static array (your case). You don't know how many items you will have to insert.
Dynamic array is in your case more efficient to use.
how do I use as dynamic array?
Dynamic array is array with dynamic size (size is automatic increased when you're adding more and more items). So you need just replace yours static browseby array with next List
for example:
List<String> browseby = new ArrayList<String>();

Please check your code browseby is null because you are not initializing browseby the in clas. Initialize the browseby before use.

just put a condition before start a loop :
if(browseby!=null){
[ your loop ]
}
or
if(browseby==null){
browse.add("Data Note Found");
}else{
for (int i = 0; i < browseby.length; i++) {
browse.add(browseby[i]);
}
}
