Adding the TableColumn
objects to my TableView
is a lengthy operation in my application---it causes everything to freeze for 3-4 seconds. I would like to keep the UI responsive while this is happening, but this is exactly the kind of thing that must be done on the JavaFX application thread. Can anything be done?
