Resize JscrollPane

Question

I want to resize my Scrollpane attached to Jpanel. I tried the solution on the link : From Java Site 1: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/lookandfeel/size.html this is the interface :

I want the scroll pane looks more smaller. like that exactly :

you may want this addGap in Group Layout follow link: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/layout/group.html.

for your code you can addGap Horizontal or Vertical both here like below:

            jPanel1Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING)
            .addGap(0, 398, Short.MAX_VALUE)
        );
        jPanel1Layout.setVerticalGroup(
            jPanel1Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING)
            .addGap(0, 100, Short.MAX_VALUE)
        );
