Hi All I am currently working on a MVC Project I have the following error, it is a multi layer project that I am working on
An exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in EntityFramework.dll but was not handled in user code Additional information: No connection string named 'AssignmentEntities' could be found in the application config file.
Now i have copied the connection string from the common layer to the application layer however I am still getting the error. What do you think is the error ?
This is the app.config code
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<configuration>

So I have solved the problem, the problem that I had that there was no connection string within the BL-Services library that I am using For Service References. I have been banging my head for the last couple of days for nothing. Now I can say that it works.

Ensure you have saved changes in Web.config
(if you have WebApplication) or App.config
(if desktop application).
Error says: No connection string named 'AssignmentEntities' could be found in the application config file
You must modify configuration of a starter project.
