Phonegap + DB storage

In my app i need to import Facebook contacts. What is the best practice ro store contacts information?

I have two options:

  1. Local storage
  2. External database (mysql for example)

I will suggest this SQLite wrapper

It's use is very simple. Similar use like web sql

// Wait for Cordova to load
document.addEventListener("deviceready", onDeviceReady, false);

// Cordova is ready

  var db = window.sqlitePlugin.openDatabase({name: "my.db"});
  // ...
}

Example:
