Cannot Recieve UDP packets over Android from another Android Device

I am pretty new to Android and I am Developing a sample chat application in Android using UDP packets by Server/Client technique. I have an Android Client through which I am able to send the packets from Android and can receive the same packets on java however when I try to receive the same Packets over Android it does not receive any. I am using Broadcast Address 192.168.0.255 which is the broadcast address of my network. If I am able to receive the packets on java why am I not able to receive packets on android?? Any ideas to achieve the same will be really appreciated. My server code is:

Finally I found an answer myself. The above code works just fine its just that the fire wall was blocking the UDPpackets ..when I turned it off packets started flowing in..
