Outlook HTMLBody only returning limited formatting

My outlook MailItem objects are only returning limited HTML formatting. I need to be able to get the complete HTML formatting... I get the following message:

Outlook does not do a proper job with HTML tags. You cannot use full HTML formatting that you use on websites and expect Outlook or other mail readers to render them correctly.

Here, for example, is an excellent post about "Designing HTML emails for Outlook 2007" which includes a reference to Microsoft's article on it.

The other article I use as a guide is: "Ensuring your HTML emails look great and get delivered".
