@Autowired - No bean found

Question

my issue is similar to @Autowired - No qualifying bean of type found for dependency

I am using spring boot. The class structure is as follows:

package myapp.services
  CalculationService
  CalculationServiceImpl
package myapp
  testcase

The test case tries to @autowire the CalculationServiceImpl and ObjectMapper fields but does not succeed. I am not sure what is wrong with my configuration. As the implementation of the service is in a sub package of the test case a @ComponenScan shouldn't be necessary. The service class correctly uses the @Service annotation.

As @Ken_Benkov described the wrong class is passed into the @SpringApplicationConfiguration

I assume your configuration class misses some information. The class you provide within the @SpringApplicationConfiguration annotation (CalculationController.class) needs to be annotated with @Configuration and @ComponentScan.

You can omit the basePackage when the configuration class is within the same package as the components (beans) you want to load
