JPA Sample Spring Boot app throws BeanCreationException

Question

I'm trying to get a simple spring project to work, I downloaded a starter project from here (Maven, with only the JPA dependency as I want to use hibernate):

I then ran: mvn clean install

which threw a lot of errors:

The spring.io doesn't say if I should do any further setting up, so I'm assuming that the project should just work straight out of the box.

Could there be something wrong with my computer (maybe I don't have a specific library installed?), as this happened to me on another project.

This can be full blown SQL database like Postgres or MySQL. It can also be some small DB engine commonly used for testing purposes, like H2.
