Which MVC version Is .NETCoreApp, Version=v1.0?

I am an absolute newbie in ASP.NET and .NET CORE. I am trying to learn ASP.NET. I installed Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition (from here: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs.aspx )

I am following this tutorial here: https://docs.asp.net/en/latest/tutorials/first-mvc-app/start-mvc.html and trying to build an web app. My project.json file for this tutorial is shown below.

My biggest confusion is: Which MVC I am learning? is It MVC 5 or MVC 6 from this tutorial?

Truth is I am really confused with all the versions of ASP.NET 5, .NET Core, MVC 5 and MVC 6 etc. etc. Can anyone please clarify. Thank you in advance
