How to add class row in datatable with button in this row?

I'm using datatable jquery and I'v defined button in rows. I want to click button in any row. The row with button click will add class selected. If I choose another row , the row after will remove class selected, the new row click will add class selected.

var table = $('#id_table').DataTable({ 
	////......
});

$('#id_table tbody').on('click', 'button', function (e) { 
	table.row($(this)).hasClass('selected');
});

I get error as Uncaught TypeError: table.row(...).hasClass is not a function

I think you can use the following instead of using table.row($(this)).hasClass('selected'); here this is the button element. 

$('#id_table tbody').on('click', 'button', function (e) {
  table.$('tr.selected').removeClass('selected');
  $(this).closest('tr').addClass('selected');
});


$(document).ready(function() {
  var table = $('#id_table').DataTable();
  $('#id_table tbody').on('click', 'tr', function() {
    table.$('tr.selected').removeClass('selected');
    $(this).addClass('selected');
  });
});
