Laravel and AWS Elastic Beanstalk website not working?
I have an EC2 development instance with Laravel 5.4 which works absolutely fine, from that I wanted to deploy Elastic Beanstalk app.
I have followed this guide:
Everything seems to be correct the Elastic Beanstalk has been deployed successfully however when I try to go to the url it gives me: http://liveandnow.eu-west-2.elasticbeanstalk.com/
I get:
403 forbidden error with message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
According to the guide once the app has been deployed I should be allowed to see my app under this url but I can't.
Anyone knows why is this happening?

1 thing to note is that EC2 instances created from Elastic Beanstalk do not have a public ip address however VPC is configured with NAT gateway which has an elastic IP

As @Amine said, you'll need to set the webroot to /public.
If you don't wish to do it via the console and instead in code, create a file:
.ebextensions/01-settings.config
With the following content:
option_settings:
aws:elasticbeanstalk:container:php:phpini:
document_root: /public

This is a late answer, but maybe people would find it helpful in the future. When you deploy your Laravel app to Elastic Beanstalk you must configure this latter to set the root to /public since the index.php in Laravel resides in the public folder and not the project root. In your case, if you access your website and add /public after the URL, it will work.
Simply go to your EB environment and click Configuration, then go to Security and in the app root field, put /public.

If you sent your project folder zipper, maybe, on configuration you must use /yourProjectFolderName/public instead of /public.
