Getting this error while creating signed apk

Error: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: com.android.builder.internal.aapt.v2.Aapt2Exception: AAPT2 error: check logs for details

my build.gradle(app) file is:

aaptOptions.cruncherEnabled = false
aaptOptions.useNewCruncher = false
.....}

Adding the above two lines ,generated the signed APK and removed the AAPT2 error while building release APK.

go to build option from menu in android studio and select clean project it might resolve the issue
