How to use window.scrollTo to scroll within an element?

I have vertical scrollbar for whole page and then have an element(say content) with max-height and overflow-y scroll.

content element has few child elements within it which do not have any specific html IDs(as I am using external lib). I have however fetched offsetTop of the child element where I want the scrollTo, but instead of element scroll, window scrolls to that offset top.

you can try something like selector[0].childNodes[3].scrollIntoView(); it will help you to scroll within the div
