I tried to start development server using npm start
all installation procedures were according to mentioned on https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/getting-started
I am getting error as following :

In VSCode try edit setting.json File --> Preferences --> Settings --> OpenSettings
and exclude specific workspace directories, eg
"files.watcherExclude": {
"**/.git/objects/**": true,
"**/.git/subtree-cache/**": true,
"**/node_modules/*/**": true
}

It’s hitting your system's file watchers limit
Try echo fs.inotify.max_user_watches=524288 | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf && sudo sysctl -p
