While trying to install pip i got this error, how do i solve it without upgrading to a new python version?

Try to use curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py -o get-pip.py as mentioned in https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/installing/ In other alternative, you could try and run the same command with user permissions adding sudo, like this:
sudo python get-pip.py
