Hubspot sandbox integration

I am trying to develop an integration with the hubspot api. I can't find any documentation that says how to create a sandbox environment though. I do not want to test my integration against production data. Has anyone found a way to create a production like testing environment for hubspot? I am really surprised that no one has asked this yet.

You can create a developer account here which you can use as your sandbox: https://app.hubspot.com/signup/developers/

https://developers.hubspot.com/ may also have some more info on what you need.
