For older Angular projects Stackblitz seems to have an invalid package.json which doesn't work locally

I've noticed that the package.json for older Angular projects on Stackblitz always uses Angular9 under devDependencies, whereas under dependencies it's an older version like "@angular/core": "7.2.2" or "@angular/core": "6.1.10".

Two examples:

Angular6 project: https://stackblitz.com/angular/ygdrrokyvkv?file=package.json

Angular7 project: https://stackblitz.com/angular/jamlyparydld?file=package.json

I've followed the instructions here to run these projects locally: Export Angular project from StackBlitz to local

  1. Download the zip
  2. unpack into dir
  3. cd dir && npm install && ./node_modules/@angular/cli/bin/ng serve

Error for both projects:

An unhandled exception occurred: Object prototype may only be an Object or null: undefined

Any idea how to fix the package.json? I've tried to copy&paste devDependencies entries from Angular6/7 projects but got a message that ng couldn't find the bootstrap code:

ERROR in Tried to find bootstrap code, but could not. Specify either statically analyzable bootstrap code or pass in an entryModule to the plugins options.
