This data has four columns: Year, Month, Day, Rainfall.
(1) I want to separate this data in terms of Rainfall grades/categories:
1-20 mm/day
20-50 mm/day
50-100 mm/day
>100 mm/day
(2) Count the number of days that falls in each Rainfall grades per Month and plot the resulting counts as a stacked bar plot in R (months versus counts).
What I have so far:
Right now, I filter the values using the dplyr package. Here's an example for January.

I am doing this per month and for the four categories. Then manually store the counts.
I would like to ask if there is a more efficient and faster way of doing this. Perhaps a straightforward script with plotting at the end using ggplot?
I'll appreciate any help on this.

You could use cut
to divide Rainfall
into buckets and count
for each Month
and plot.
