How do I install R packages from archive?

I tried installing 'easi' package from cran,this:

its not installing. tried manually also failed.

The easi package was removed from CRAN and appears to be 'abandoned'. Recently I forked the easi github repository and updated the source code to fix the Error in class(ff) <- "formula" : attempt to set an attribute on NULL error for this question. The example from the vignette now runs to completion on 'modern' versions of R. I'm not certain that the answers are correct, as I don't have anything to compare them to, but based on the source code it looks fine to me.

You can install the updated easi package using devtools::install_github("https://github.com/jpmam1/easi", dependencies = TRUE), e.g.
