Update Typo3 9.5.27 with Composer to 10.4

I tried updating a Typo3 Website running version 9.5.27 in Composer mode to at least version ^10.4.

I updated the composer.json from

{
    "repositories": [
        { "type": "composer", "url": "https://composer.typo3.org/" }
    ],
    "name": "typo3/cms-base-distribution",

    "license": "GPL-2.0-or-later",
    "config": {
        "platform": {
            "php": "7.2"
        }
    },

to the 10.4 version

        "post-autoload-dump": [
            "@typo3-cms-scripts"
        ]
    }
}

After that I ran a composer updateand everything went fine. Now when I try to login it tells me that im missing tables in my database. I obviously forgot to update the database aswell, but where do I do that? I tried following this documentation.

When updating TYPO3 to a new major version, you need to run the Upgrade Wizards and Database Analyzer in the install tool. These will convert data/files and create/alter/remove database tables and fields as needed. You should also check the other steps in that documentation.
