Maven unable to find assertEquals symbol during maven install goal

Question

I am writing my test cases in my maven application, but during maven install goal, this is the error I am getting

Please take a look into this error. Below is my test class, for which I am getting the exception, the exception is the the assertEquals() part, although I have imported the Assert.assertEquals as static, but still there is error.

You are using the wrong assert, try changing

import static org.junit.Assert.assertEquals;

to

import static org.junit.jupiter.api.Assertions.assertEquals;
