I am trying to put a jar file in hadoop but getting the hadoop namenode -format enter image description here as you can see jar file is already created
[cloudera@quickstart ~]$ hdfs dfs -put AverageWordCount.jar /user/cloudera
21/10/14 01:27:08 WARN hdfs.DFSClient: DataStreamer Exception
org.apache.hadoop.ipc.RemoteException(java.io.IOException): File /user/cloudera/AverageWordCount.jar._COPYING_ could only be replicated to 0 nodes instead of minReplication (=1). There are 0 datanode(s) running and no node(s) are excluded in this operation.

Need to first make sure the Namenode is in safe mode to check that below is the steps:
To know the status of Safemode, use command:
hadoop dfsadmin –safemode get
To enter Safemode, use command:
bin/hadoop dfsadmin –safemode enter
To come out of Safemode, use command:
hadoop dfsadmin -safemode leave
After that restart the hdfs services. And try again to Put the .jar file again in the Hadoop
