Error to install Siemens TIA Portal v15/15.1/17
I'm trying to install Tia portal in any version mentioned in the title.
I have a Windows 11 pro 64 bit virtual machine with 12GB of RAM. Every time I start the installation after 5 seconds I get the following error "Some installed products require a license. Start Automation License for licensing or viewing the license summary on this PC."

Regarding TIA Portal / Windows Version compatibility, "unsupported" often simply means "we haven't fully tested it yet". Having said that, you're less likely to get problems with officially supported version combos, and my general experience tells me that installing V15/15.1 on Win11 probably stretches the "it's not supported but actually OK" thing too far.
As you say, the Siemens Compatibility Tool says that V17 is OK, but there is a note that for:
- Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Versiοn 23H2 (64-Bit): V17 Update 7 is required
- Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Versiοn 22H2 (64-Bit): V17 Update 5 is required
- Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Versiοn 21H2 (64-Bit): V17 Update 4 is required
I recommend, if you can, installing on Windows 10, installing Update 7 (honestly as a precaution only), and then upgrading to Windows 11. Please note that WinCC Unified in V17 is, ahem, pretty green.
