class cast exception in android?

Hi i am getting class cast exceptrion in this line 

wheel = (WheelView) findViewById(R.id.wheel);  

<LinearLayout 
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content" 
    android:layout_centerInParent="true"
    android:layout_margin="10dip"  
    android:background="@drawable/wheel_side_background">

<com.WheelView  
    android:id="@+id/wheel" 
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="150dip"
    android:layout_marginTop="1dip"
    android:layout_marginBottom="1dip">

Also, close the WheelView tag in the xml before closing the LinearLayout!

You have declared a layout object of type com.WheelView. However you are trying to cast it to a different class, com.skynextech.firstdentalcare.WheelView. That's the problem. I assume that com.WheelView is a typo, and the mistake.
