VS code snippet populate var with value of another var

Is it possible to set a variable within a code snippet to the value of another already defined variable?

Take this example, I want the tab order to start at the first $1, this way I'll get the auto complete dialog when I start typing, but I want the value of $1 to populate the value of ${copy_of_1} without having to type it out

"Var Check": {
    "prefix": "vch",
    "body": [
        "console.log('${copy_of_1}: '+${1}+' VarType: '+typeof(${1}));$0",
    ],
    "description": "Variable check"
}

I could set all the vars to $1, which would populate all 3 with the same value, however the tab order would start at the first var, and as this is within a string i won't get the auto complete dialog
