API or http requests for SAP notes

Question

I am currently working with Excel Visual Basic and JavaScript in VSC to get a solution running. My goal is to regularly be able to run a program to update the information on specific notes that are relevant to me. For that I want to access the SAP site and access specific html fields and copy the information into my Excel list.

I already know Visual Basic, but the problem is I am not used to its old query design, so I am not really sure if it is even possible, or if I am just doing it wrong. Besides that, I also read that that is called scapring and can get you blocked with got me kind of worried as well.

On the other hand I read there is no API and also read that if the website´s provider does not allow that you cannot access the information (maybe I misinterpreted that) and that even if it works and the provides changes stuff your solution won´t work right anymore.

So I am currently really wondering on how to even start this and if it is even feasible at all.
