How to Process Audio in Real-Time and Send It to a Virtual Audio Device

Question

I want to capture live audio input (e.g., from my microphone), apply some processing to it, and then send the processed audio to a virtual audio device so I can use it as my input in Zoom, Teams, or other meeting apps

I have created a virtual audio device using Microsoft's driver example:
