Visual Studio Intentionally open a file in Read-Only mode?

Is there a way in Visual Studio 2022 to open a file in read-only mode from the Solution Explorer, or mark an already open file as read-only similar to Visual Studio Code?

I can mark a file as read-only in the file properties menu from the system file explorer and effectively prevent myself from accidentally making changes to the wrong file, but that's a lot of steps when trying to protect multiple files. Conversely you can mark a read-only file as editable when you try to edit it in Visual Studio, so I don't see why this wouldn't be implemented.
