vscode autocomplete with MQL 5

I have installed vscode for writing MQL Expert Advisors along with MQL Tools extension. I have no problems with compiling. However, the autocomplete is only partially working. Some functions for the "Standard Libarary" dont autocomplete and I dont get the pop up suggestions.

Ive read others have the same issue, but some of the posts are outdated. One suggested installing MinGW ?? another post suggested intellisense settings are incorrect, but being very new I'm not sure how to fix.

C/C++ Extension is also installed with vscode but says "not activated" with a small "3" on the icon, when I go through the "setup environment" I get no "compiler" listed.

My programs compile correctly. They are using the MQL compiler ? Does intellisense need to know where this maybe ? If so how ?

Its very confusing.
