How do you get a value from a MAP destination profile into a decision step in BOOMI

I have a MAP that has a connector call that looks up values based on a key value from a call to a SQL Server db. The connector call is a DB2 db, all the values are set to fields in the destination profile. How do I access the values in the destination profile in a decision, business rules or other kind of step.

I can run the MAP into another MAP and set dynamic data properties but that is dumb. I cannot take the output of the MAP connector call into a dynamic data property.
