How to generate thumbnails for 30GB sized TIFF images

I am here to seek help from everyone. I currently have a 30GB TIFF image on hand, and loading its thumbnail in Window is very slow and even freezes. I am seeking a new method to generate thumbnails for large volume TIFF images, and currently have knowledge of the libtiff library. I try to process it quickly, but I always encounter memory out of bounds issues. I am very distressed

It makes sense the thumbnail generator in Windows crashes with 30 GB TIFF files since TIFF formally only supports up to 4 GB files.

If you want to improve this behaviour you have to add your own BigTIFF plugin. Maybe Irfanview can do this for you.

...But to create an thumbnail, you have to look inside the big file... Don't expect miracles, since reading 30GB still takes time.
