VSCode shows my svg xml, as a preview instead, how do I disable it

Question

On a newer work PC, I see text when I look at an svg, so I can edit them,

working on an older computer, this VS code previews SVG files, so I need to change the extension to .txt to edit, then back to .svg for use.

I 'think' I need to use Workbench Associations, and set *.svg to vscode.texteditor, but that doesn't work, and I can't seem to find via google anything that tells me what the default editorAssociations is.
