Visual Studio One Click Manifests and Trust
I have an application I have been given responsibility for. It was written in Visual Basic and I am now using Visual Studio 2022 to continue development. The application is signed with a commercially obtained code signing certificate (ie not just a development key).
Whenever someone runs setup.exe they are given a warning by windows defender.
What can I do to make my application safer or more secure. Or is it just a case that with every successful installation windows will learn to trust it.
