Teaming on Ubuntu with different physical ports types

Question

I'm working on POP!_OS 22.04 LTS (Ubuntu) and I am desperately trying to create a team in active backup mode for my two connections. The reason for this is that what should be my primary connection isn't actually very reliable. I'm facing any kind of issue, and I was wondering if anyone can help me.

First of all, as I specified in the title, one connection is ethernet, the second one is USB. Now, I managed to make it work for a little while and I don't think this is the problem, but it's important to know that not both my connections are ethernet.

Secondly, I'm kinda new to Linux so I may be getting something wrong on the way.

I followed some instructions I found on google and then asked our friend Chat to help me through the many problems I'm experiencing. From the teaming not starting automatically upon system start, to slave connections not being initialized automatically when the team starts, random disconnections of one or both of the connections etc.

It's not a matter of life or death but I would really appreciate some help on the subject because I'm tired of having to swap to one connection to another manually or to simply just reload a page whenever my connection goes down.
