WhatsApp Business API App Review Rejection - Seeking Clarification & Assistance

Question

I recently submitted my app for WhatsApp Business API review and received the following feedback:

• Not Approved: whatsapp_business_messaging
• App verification feedback:
  • App rejected - Unable to approve permission request
  • Developer Policy 1.6 - Build a quality product
  • Reviewers were unable to approve the requested permissions due to missing or incomplete demonstration of app functionality.

Reviewer Notes:

"We have determined that your app’s use case for the requested permission is valid. However, we're not able to approve your app because the submitted screencast failed to showcase the process of sending a message from the app to a WhatsApp number and WhatsApp number receiving the message from the app."

They have asked me to:

1. Ensure the screencast clearly demonstrates sending and receiving messages within the app.
2. Verify the testing instructions in the App Verification Details include the Test User’s email and password.
3. Ensure my app's requested permissions are justified within the review process.

What I Need Help With:

1. Where should I enter the "App Verification Details"?

   • I do not see an explicit section for this in the Meta Developer Console.
   • Should I include it in the "App Notes" field?

2. How can I better demonstrate my app’s functionality?

   • I have both a test phone number and a real phone number.
   • Sending messages from the test phone number via the Facebook UI works.
   • Sending messages from the real phone number is not working.

3. Potential Issue:

   • When attempting to send messages from the real phone number, I receive this error when requesting an access token:

     There was a problem registering +36 20 464 4224.
     Unsupported post request. Object with ID '608217215698679' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api.
     

   • Could this be because the review process is incomplete?

4. Steps to Accomplish WhatsApp Business API Review:

   • What are the best practices to ensure successful approval?
   • How should I revise my screencast to meet Meta’s expectations?
