Chrome problem with showing Unicode flags in contextMenus

Ubuntu 24.04

Until 1-2 years ago, Chrome displayed Unicode flags without problems in:

• action.setBadgeText
• action.setTitle
• contextMenus.create -> title

However, since then it shows them as individual letters e.g. U S instead of 🇺🇸.
It still shows 🌎 correctly though.

In other areas (e.g. HTML), it displays the Unicode flags correctly.

Any idea on the problem and how to fix it?
