Ubuntu - syslog & kern.log filling up with messages (audio pci?)

My syslog & kern.log files are enormous - I checked these files & found that they are being filled with the following messages.

Mar 3 08:12:17 ubuntu kernel: [1033920.187739] sof-audio-pci-intel-mtl 0000:00:1f.3: FW reported error: 9 - Specified resource not found

I don't expect anyone to have an answer as to what is happening here, but is anyone able to give suggestions on what to look at next? The logs are a bit mystifying to me.
